Visual Sitemap

Create and manage interactive visual sitemaps for your websites

The Visual Sitemap is one of Evergreen's core features. It provides an interactive, tree-based visualization of your website's structure, making it easy to understand how your content is organized and identify structural issues.

How It Works

After Evergreen crawls your website, it automatically generates a visual sitemap based on your URL structure. Pages are organized into a tree hierarchy reflecting your site's navigation and URL paths.

Key Features

  • Interactive tree view — Expand and collapse sections to explore your site structure
  • Drag-and-drop organization — Reorganize pages by dragging them to new positions
  • Page details on click — View SEO data, content metrics, and analytics for any page
  • Color-coded health indicators — Quickly spot pages with SEO issues
  • Search and filter — Find specific pages across your entire sitemap
  • Export options — Download your sitemap as an image or data file

Reading the Sitemap

Each node in the sitemap represents a page on your website. The node displays:

  • Page title — The title tag of the page
  • URL path — The relative URL
  • Health indicator — Green (good), yellow (warnings), red (issues)
  • Page type — Category, article, landing page, etc.

Best Practices

  1. Review your sitemap after each crawl to spot new or removed pages
  2. Use the health indicators to prioritize SEO fixes
  3. Look for orphaned pages that aren't linked from your main navigation
  4. Check depth levels — important pages should be within 3 clicks of the homepage
