Google Search Console

Monitor search performance and SEO health with GSC data

Connect Google Search Console to monitor your search visibility and correlate search performance with your content audit data.

Connecting GSC

  1. Go to your project's Connections page
  2. Click Connect next to Google Search Console
  3. Sign in with your Google account
  4. Select the GSC property that matches your project URL
  5. Evergreen will begin importing your search data

What Data Is Imported

Evergreen imports search performance data including:

  • Queries — Search terms that triggered your pages
  • Clicks — Number of clicks from search results
  • Impressions — How often your pages appeared in search
  • CTR — Click-through rate for each query/page combination
  • Average position — Your average ranking position

How Data Is Used

Search Console data enhances Evergreen's insights:

  • Content Audit — Search performance columns in the audit table
  • Insights — Identify high-impression/low-click opportunities
  • Page Details — See which queries drive traffic to each page
  • Content Gaps — Discover queries you rank for but don't have dedicated content

Data Freshness

Search Console data follows the same sync schedule as GA4:

PlanSync Frequency
FreeManual only
HobbyManual only
ProDaily automatic sync

Note: GSC data has a natural 2-3 day delay from Google. This is normal and not an Evergreen limitation.
