Connect Integrations

Link your analytics, search, and AI tools for deeper website intelligence

Evergreen integrates with external services to enrich your website intelligence data and streamline your team's workflow. Data source integrations are configured per-project under Settings → Connections.

Available Integrations

Sitemap

Adding your sitemap is the fastest way to give Evergreen a complete picture of your site.

  1. In your project, go to Settings → Connections.
  2. Select Sitemap.
  3. Enter your sitemap URL (e.g. https://example.com/sitemap.xml).
  4. Click Save. Evergreen will crawl the sitemap and populate your Content Map.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

Connect GA4 to see traffic data, user behavior, and engagement metrics correlated with your content pages.

What you get:

  • Page-level traffic data (sessions, users, pageviews)
  • Engagement metrics (average time on page, bounce rate)
  • Traffic trends over time
  • Top-performing pages by traffic
  • Analytics answers in Ask Eve

See Google Analytics 4 for setup instructions.

Google Search Console (GSC)

Connect GSC to monitor your search visibility and SEO performance alongside your content audit.

What you get:

  • Search queries driving traffic to each page
  • Click-through rates and average position
  • Impressions and click data
  • Search performance trends
  • Search answers in Ask Eve

See Google Search Console for setup instructions.

AI Tools (MCP)

Evergreen can pipe your crawl data, audit results, and content insights directly into AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Claude Desktop via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

What you get:

  • Live site structure, page inventory, and crawl history queryable from your AI assistant
  • Content health data and audit findings surfaced in context
  • AI Insights scores available to AI coding tools

See AI Tool Integrations for details, and MCP Server for setup instructions.

How to Connect Data Sources

  1. Navigate to your project's Connections page under Settings
  2. Click Connect next to the integration you want
  3. Authorize Evergreen with your Google account (for GA4/GSC)
  4. Select the property/profile to connect

All Google integrations use OAuth for secure authentication. Evergreen only requests read-only access to your data.

Integration Notifications

Once connected, Evergreen can alert you when integration events occur — for example, when a sync completes, data is refreshed, or an integration loses authorization and needs to be reconnected. Configure these alerts under Settings → Notifications.

Note: All integrations are optional but recommended for the best insights. Evergreen works great on its own with just the crawler.

Troubleshooting

  • Authorization fails: Ensure you granted all requested scopes during the OAuth flow. Revoke and reconnect if needed.
  • Data not appearing: Allow up to 24 hours for the first sync. Check the integration status in Settings → Connections.
  • Other issues: Report a bug.
