Is there a free plan or trial for Evergreen?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Evergreen offers a Free plan for initial team setup and evaluation. You can sign up and explore the app's interface at no cost. However, the free tier has very limited capacity (it's limited to one member and no new projects). It's designed to let you get a feel for Evergreen. For meaningful usage, you'll want to upgrade to a paid plan.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Absolutely. You can change your plan at any time as your needs evolve. Upgrading is pro-rated so you get instant access to higher limits/features upon payment, and downgrading will take effect from the next billing cycle. Your data will remain intact when switching – if you downgrade, you'll just be above the limits, so you may need to reduce usage to fall within the new plan's limits.

What happens if I hit my plan's limits (projects, pages, AI calls, etc.)?

Evergreen will notify you when you approach or reach a limit of your current plan. If you try to exceed those, you'll see a prompt that you've reached the limit and a suggestion to upgrade for more capacity. We also display a subtle upgrade banner in the app when limits are reached. Your content is never deleted if you hit a limit; you just won't be able to add more until you upgrade or remove some content.

How does billing work? Is it monthly or annual?

By default, billing is monthly with the prices shown per month. We charge your payment method at the start of each month-long subscription period. Currently, we do not have an annual billing option listed on the site, but we may introduce annual plans with a discount in the future. All payments are handled securely through our payment provider (Stripe), and you can cancel or change your plan at any time.

What is included in the Team plan versus the Pro plan?

The Team plan is designed for collaboration within organizations, whereas Pro is for individual power users. Team includes everything in Pro, and adds multi-user support (up to 25 members) and team-oriented features like real-time collaboration, project management integrations (Jira, Linear), and daily scheduled syncs. Team also has much higher usage limits (50 projects vs 20 on Pro; 100k pages vs 10k on Pro).

Do you offer Enterprise discounts or custom agreements?

Yes. The Enterprise plan is custom-priced and we can tailor it to your organization's needs. This can include volume discounts for a large number of users, custom feature add-ons, security agreements, and dedicated support arrangements. Priority support is included by default for Enterprise customers. Please reach out to our sales team to discuss your specific needs.
